Cast copper/lead (?) alloy pilgrim badge of medieval date. Decorated surface shows a face, with staring eyes and open mouth (probably screaming). Either side of the face is a curved piece, which seems to represent hair. Beneath the head is the styleized upper torso of the figure. Both arms are held up towards the hair. The reverse is plain and flat with a possible remnant of a pin attachment at the bottom. This badge would probably have been worn on a hat as a good luck charm.
