Early midribbed (Group II) palstave, probably of Type Liswerry and probably dating to the beginning of the Middle Bronze Age and belonging to Acton Park metalworking tradition c. 1450-1350 BC. The palstave has a narrow form and is parallel sided at the rear, extending as far as the beginning of the blade. The blade sides gradually diverge to a point corresponding to a blade facet on the face, after which it expands into wide blade producing a deep crescentic blade edge. Decorated developed flat axe, probably of Class 4E (following Needham forthcoming), corresponding with Schmidt and Burgess' (1981) type Scrabo Hill and with Type Ballyvalley (Harbison 1969) in Ireland. Axes of these types date towards the end of the Early Bronze Age: Needham's (1996) Period 3 c.1950 - 1700 BC/Needham et al.'s (1997) Willerby phase. 1: A copper-alloy hooked tag, 31mm in length and 14mm in width, 2.23g in weight. This hooked tag has been cast in one piece, it has a rectangular loop at its top and a circular plate measuring 31mm in diameter. This plate is decorated with an open work design consisting of a six petalled possible flower with a circular hole inbetween each petal. Each of the petals has a circular indentation in their centre and in the centre of the flower there are two circular grooves. A complete copper-alloy sewing ring. Cylindrical in shape measuring 16mm in height and 22mm in rim diameter at the wider end. Both of the rims have a central circumference groove. The sides are almost straight and are decorated with transverse rows of square indentations. This sewing ring is probably 15th century of early 16th century in date.

A complete but squashed copper-aloy thimble measuring 21mm in height and 25mm in width, at the squashed rim. The rim of this thimble is unthickened and the sides are straight and decorated with circular indentaions which are arranged in a spiral. This spiral may have originally started with a makers mark but this is no longer visible. The top is slightly rounded and the spiraling circular indentations continue and terminate in its centre. This thimble is most likely to be 16th century in date.
