A fragment of a medieval cast copper alloy locking key. The key has a short tubular handle with a circular section. The complex openwork ward has three complete apertures. Only a fragment of the rounded handle survives. No very close parallel has been found but the key is likely to date to the 13th or 14th centuries.

A zoomorphic object of later Saxon date, now bent. One end is flat and forms an animal head with a pair of flattened ears. The object widens in the centre where there is a round-ended slot 12.6mm by 3.3mm. The opposite end is thicker and is incomplete. Just before the break is a transverse groove.
