A fragment of Bronze Age axe, dating to c. 1500 - 800 BC. Axe head type not further defined, possibly a fragment of socketed axehead. The fragment is the blade end of the axehead with a ragged transverse break cutting across its body. There is no trace of a socket at this broken end. Beyond the break the axe widens in smooth concave curves to the blade edge which is slightly crescentic shaped.

An incomplete Middle Bronze Age rapier, dating to c. 1600 - 1000 BC. The upper blade-hilt/butt remains. Burgess and Gerloff (1981) group IV. The object is sub-triangular in plan and lentoid in section. The hilt constricts rapidly from the broad, flat hilt into the long, narrow blade of lenticular section, most of which is missing, broken transversely by an ancient break. The rapier is also damaged around the now missing rivet holes.

A Bronze Age? copper-alloy awl, dating to c. 1150 - 800 BC. The object is square in cross section along half of its length, and at the mid-point tapers to a circular cross-sectioned and point at one terminal. At the other terminal it flattens to become rectangular in cross-section, before ending in a chisel-shaped terminal. The surface is undecorated.

An incomplete Bronze Age flint barbed and tanged arrowheads, dating to 2500-1500 BC. The arrowhead is made from a tertiary flake of grey-brown flint with a low gloss patina and has a lighter milky white patination on some of the surface edges. The tip is missing as is the end of one barb and a fragment of tang. Both faces have covering ,invasive pressure flaking.

A late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age flint scraper, dating to 4000 - 2350 BC. The scraper has been made possibly from a secondary waste flake and an area of orange/brown cortex is visible on a third of the dorsal surface. The flint has a is dark brown and has a lighter milky white patination on some of the surface. Small areas of micro-retouch can be seen along the long curved distal edge of the dorsal face. The ventral face has one small area of retouch at the distal edge.

A complete Middle Bronze Age copper-alloy looped palstave, dating to 1500 - 1300 BC. The blade of the palstave is broadly sub-triangular in plan with relatively straight (but with slightly expanded) sides and a expanding convex cutting edge (fantailed). In profile the blade is sub-triangular with the widest section being before the stop ridge. Beneath the stop-ridge, on both sides of the palstave, is a raised tapering central rib. Late Bronze Age copper alloy disc- headed pin, Length: 27 mm, diameter: 11 mm, weight: 2.13 grams.
The pin is incomplete, missing its lower shaft. This is circular in cross section and widens as it reaches the head from 2mm to 3.5 mm in diameter. The head is 3 mm deep and 11 mm in diameter. It is circular in form and triangular in cross section, emerging from the shaft and widening to form a disc with a concave upper surface which contains a central circular depression. There is no decoration.

A gold penannular 'lock ring' of Bronze Age date (c. 1150 - 800 BC). The ring is triangular in section with flat terminals. The outer two faces of the object are decorated with a series of ribs (wire work?), whilst the internal face is undecorated.
Dimensions: outer diameter: 14.49 mm; inner diameter: 6.35 mm; thickness: 4.45 mm; weight: 4.12g.
Gold plated copper alloy rings of a similar shape and style have been processed as Treasure (cf. 2009 T513). As this example is not damaged, exposing an inner core, it is difficult to say whether it is pure gold or gold plated. However…

Early to Middle Bronze age copper alloy flanged axehead, Length 62mm, width 17mm, thickness 11mm, weight 53.35g. The object is complete and in fair condition. It has a slightly damaged rounded blade. The object narrows from this point becoming rectangular in form and cross section. The body of the axe has rounded sides which expand upwards to form a flange along each long edge on both surfaces. Bronze Age or Iron Age possible brooch loop or mount? The object is sub-circular, slightly assymmetrical inside the loop perhaps due to wear resulting from use. It has a projecting stub which may originally have been a long sub-triangular point but appears to have broken off.
On one face of the object there are four grooves to the left of the projection, in both the outer edge and the inner edge, and two grooves on the right outer edge, and three on the inner edge.
