TREASURE CASE : 2020 T759. Description:  A complete gold and cabochon stone finger ring of medieval date, c.AD 1300 - 1400. The hoop of the ring is a distorted sub-circular shape with a sub-ovate section. It widens slightly where it meets the bezel. The bezel is an irregular sub-triangular shape and appears integral to the hoop. The bezel is deep set with slightly rolled upper edges to secure the cabochon stone which is retained in full. The bar, which would have been narrowed and recessed, is lost to old worn breaks. The object is undecorated. The metal has a dark brown/green patina and is worn.
