A complete gold Iron Age stater of the Southern British East Wiltshire group, struck between c. 50-35 BC. Probably a 'Savernake Forest' type (ABC 2091, Cottam et. al. 2010) based on the obverse and the style of the pellets and torc-like motif on the reverse, however the horse's tail, high and arching, is closer to ABC 2089 ('Savernake Wreath' type).

A gold Iron Age stater of the Western Region / Dobunni, dating to c. 60 BC - AD 40. Obverse: Tree symbol (with 5 branches on each side ending with pellet) with a pellet or ring at base and tip. Reverse: A six spoked wheel and horse of uncertain form. The reverse has extensive wear, as well as what appears to be deliberate defacing in the form of multiple short linear strokes or scratches/chisel marks that have removed the horse motif and any legend that may originally have existed. Cf. ABC p.103, no. 2003 passim for the type. Weight: 4.6gms Diameter: 16.8mm

A gold Iron Age stater of Catti of the Dobunni tribe dating to c. AD 1 - 20. Obverse depicts the Tree of Life and the reverse depicts triple tailed horse above a wheel. The inscription 'CATTI' is visible on the reverse. The Dobunni were an Iron Age tribe with a range of rulers. Often rulers had similar coins but changed specific details. The details changed include: shape of the horse's head; the obverse type; the number of pellets surrounding the horse; the inscription above the horse.
