A fragment of a probable Late Medieval or Early Post Medieval cast copper alloy chafing dish. The fragment consists of part of the concave rim and wall of the vessel, and the upward projecting and tapering dish-support. The dish support is sub-trapezoidal in section. The rim is thickened, in the form of a distinct flange/rib. On a broken edge of the fragment, there is an arced incision of unknown function. It has been suggested in other examples that similar incisions may be repair holes for rivets (e.g. see records SUR-DB1FD4 and SUR-D1AF97) and the vessel is also likely to have had …

A worked flint tool, probably an early Bronze Age plano-convex knife. The striking platform is clearly visible where the blade was struck from its core, and there is a clear bulb of percussion and bulb scar on the ventral face of the flint, caused by the pressure when struck. A small amount of flaking has occurred from the ventral face, but this is limited to a few flakes. The tool measures 47.5 mm long, 24.…

A cast lead pictorial token dating to the 14th century. On the obverse, a crudely stylised bird facing right with a border of rays (now fairly damaged around the edges). The reverse is plain and unmarked. These lead issue tokens date to the reign of Edward III (1327-77 AD). The token is in a poor condition with the edge broken in a number of places, therefore loosing most of the ray border. A parallel for the token can be found in Mitchiner, 1984 with a provenance of London. This has also been dated to the 14th century (Plate 8, Ref 100).
