A complete silver cuff link element, of Late Post Medieval to Early Modern dating (AD 1720s to AD 1800s).
The cuff link element is octagonal with a flattened looped shank and a concave back. The edge of the element is formed by the upper edge being folded over at a right angle. There is fine engraving on the upper surface of each with an octagonal border with slightly scalloped sides. In the centre is a rose with four main petals alternately with four smaller petals or calyx. The four main petals have a curved line inside the edge. An incomplete silver hammered penny of uncertain ruler dating from AD1279-1485. Approximately 60% of the coin survives. The coin was probably minted in London. The obverse shows a crowned forward facing bust with flowing hair and a triangular collar. The obverse legend reads EDW.....DNS hYB. The reverse is a long cross with three pellets in each quadrant. The reverse legend reads CIVI/TAS . . . .N. Diameter: 19.89mm. Thickness: 0.65mm. Weight: 1.02g. Die axis: 9 o'clock.

A medieval finger-ring, much distorted, consisting of a flat band terminating in a thick pyramidal bezel with a square panel bearing a cross. This appears to retain traces of niello. The shoulders of the ring are decorated with criss-crosses and punches.
The ring is silver and dates from the twelfth century. It is of a type represented in the Lark Hill hoard at the British Museum (PE 1854,0820.4).
Dimensions: length 28 mm, width 13 mm.
