An incomplete silver hammered penny of uncertain ruler dating from AD1279-1485. Approximately 60% of the coin survives. The coin was probably minted in London. The obverse shows a crowned forward facing bust with flowing hair and a triangular collar. The obverse legend reads EDW.....DNS hYB. The reverse is a long cross with three pellets in each quadrant. The reverse legend reads CIVI/TAS . . . .N. Diameter: 19.89mm. Thickness: 0.65mm. Weight: 1.02g. Die axis: 9 o'clock.
