An incomplete Post Medieval cast copper alloy zoomorphic strap fitting, being part of an S-shaped fastener, D shape in section, in the form of a snake, probably dating to c AD 1550 - 1800. It would have been roughly in the shape of a letter S.  What remains is one loop of the 'snake', with the simplistic form of the head given the appearance of biting the tail, so forming a loop. The fastener has a rough, mid green patina with darker patches where rubbing may have occurred. An incomplete Medieval copper alloy buckle plate dating to cAD 1200 - 1500. It is a rectangular piece of metal, folded, with a rectangular pin hole cut into the fold and which is looped to hold a pin bar, which in this case is still in place. The bar is oval in section, and the remnant of a thin sheet metal pin is still wrapped around it. A single off-centre rivet holds the two sides of the plate together.  Dimensions: 13.0mm in length; 10.5mm in width; weight: 1.20g.

A distorted, but complete, Medieval copper alloy circular pendant, dating to c AD 1150 - 1250. Probably decorative horse harness. The plate is heavily corroded, and has a small section of lower edge folded up, almost flat to one face. The plate is thin, but thickens towards the suspension loop. The loop is sub oval, rectanguar in section, pierced with a circular hole, and at the top shows possible wear from the object to which it was attached.  Dimensions: 34.0mm in height (nb folded lower edge); 29.0mm in diameter; weight: 6.65g

What remains is the damaged head and the upper part of the bow with a lozengiform plate decorated with two parallel longitudinal moulded ridges down the central axis (slightly off-centre from faulty manufacture) and an outer two which form simple borders to the plate. What is extant is a single rectangular sheet of metal with the remains, as corrosion, of a single iron rivet at the attachment end, and part of an oval pin slot at the other. It is a thin strip of metal with parallel sides, one end a terminus with a hooked terminal, the other end showing an early break.
