A complete cast copper-alloy covered harness fitting or terret. There are three integral components, a large oval loop, a rectangular 'skirt' and a horizontal rectangular loop. The large oval loop is the uppermost component. It is oval in section and stands upright. This loop is probably where the reins passed through. Late Iron Age to Roman (AD c. 25 to 55) Birdlip type brooch: The brooch made from copper alloy. The head, in plan from the reverse, is a sub-oval, which on the outer face tapers to form the bow. This portion of the bow is decorated with a central triangular ridge with flared arch either side. This moulding terminates with a pair of two horizontal fine ridges with a more prominent slightly bulbous ridge in between. Late Iron Age to Roman (1st to 2nd century AD) centre-looped cosmetic pestle: The copper alloy pestle crescentic plan with the upper edge being only slightly concave and having an integral circular loop on a wide stem. The pestle is circular in section and tapers to a blunt point at each terminal. The surface of the pestle has a mid grey/brown coloured patina. It measures 34.41mm long, 20.99mm wide across the loop and 4.68mm thick. It weighs 6.9g. A copper alloy disc headed pin. The head is flat, 10.4mm in diameter and 2.2mm thick. The upper side of the head has moulded decoration in the form of an annulet boss surrounded by a cable style band and plain outer rim. The shank has a sub rounded section and is 2.4mm thick, tapering slightly to 1.9mm thick. There is a sharp bend part way down. The copper-alloy loop of an Iron Age to Roman end-looped cosmetic mortar dating to the 1st to 2nd century AD. The bow of the mortar is missing due to old breaks. The end loop measures 15.02mm by 15.57mm in size. It has a central circular hole 7.57mm in diameter. The outer edge of the loop has a decorative groove, a tiny fragment of the hollowed out bow of the mortar survives.

Copper alloy brooch fragment, lion bow type. Part of the upper bow only, corroded surfaces. This is the "lion-shaped" element of the bow, with square rivet attached to a sheet fragment from the lower bow. The stylised animal shape is conveyed by transverse mouldings and a hole at the top on the break represents the division between the lions back legs below the join to the spring cover. Surviving length 24mm, width at lower bow junction 10mm. As Hattatt no.280. The lion bow type is related to the Rosette series and Continental in origin.

Bronze unit, some wear and some recent damage on the edge. Identifiable as VA 154-3 "Kentish uncertain", Hobbs 2484-2486 "uninscribed south-eastern bronze". Around 35 are listed on CCI database (http://www.writer2001.com/cciwriter2001/BritishLists/Cantii/Cantii_59.htm), the majority of located ones being from Kent and two from Essex (Tilbury, Maldon) - thus this eg is the farthest north found as yet.
