Both faces have punched (?) groups of marks, possibly made by a chisel-ended tracer/awl (parallels exist in the Levington Hoard, Suffolk: Pendleton 1999, 49). Crescentic blade edge affected by corrosion. Other patches of pale green invasive corrosion near blade, otherwise deep brown patina and large area of untarnished copper alloy. Surviving width 39 mm.

Copper alloy hinged type Colchester derivative brooch. Missing part pin, part of an arm, damaged foot and catchplate. Two grooves and two concave mouldings separated by a narrow rib at the arm terminals. Back of the bow is slightly convex. Squared top of bow end. A pair of concave mouldings on the upper bow outline a lozenge shape and then flank a central rib on the lower bow which tapers to a blunt point. Solid catchplate. Length 37mm, surviving width 26mm. No close parallels for the bow design found.

Copper alloy flat enamelled plate brooch. Missing pin, one hinge lug, most enamel, some margin damage. Pin was hinged on two close set lugs. Plate is a "flower" like design, with a central dot and concentric band of enamel (now lost) around which are 10 "petals", each outlined in copper alloy with a narrow recessed gap between. Traces of enamel survive in some of the petals, but it is all discoloured to a dark green. Diameter 27mm. No parallel found in Hattatt or in Riha 1979; could be Continental.
