An incomplete Roman copper-alloy double lug Colchester derivative brooch. The head is semi-cylindrical in shape with a concave reverse, the outer tip of each wing missing. In the centre of the reverse there is an in double pierced lug, which would have secured the pin fitting originally. The remaining part of the bow is D-shaped in cross-section, humped and curved in profile with two central longitudinal, parallel ribs decorating the outer face. The lower bow is missing.
