Although worn, it appears to have been sextagonal in shape, and retains inlaid enamel of red and blue alternating in triangular shapes, thinning to the central rivet. A fragment of a copper-alloy late early medieval, or Viking Age, cheekpiece, cheekpieces were worn in pairs and each is pierced with a round hole through which the ends of the jointed iron bit projected. Only a fragment of the flat plate and of the central hole survives as well as the knob which originally was at the base of a loop, the latter is now missing. This cheekpiece seems most likely to be Williams Type 1, it is very worn with no visible decoration evident. (Williams 2007).

A complete copper-alloy single loop buckle with the pin in situ , although the pin is incomplete, of probable Medieval to Post-Medieval date. It is triangular in shape, with a semi-circular cross section in the frame. The reverse is plain, however, there is evidence of white metal coating and incised groves. At the point of the triangle, there is a pin rest notch, on the inside of the frame. The object has a brown / green patina. No published parallels have been identified for this example, however a similar example can be found on PAS (LVPL-24E6C4).

A sherd from a late Medieval to Post-Medieval vessel. The sherd is reddish in colour, with coarse inclusions. On the interior of the vessel the floor has a relatively thick yellow/white residue, with a large oval area of lead that is not obviously a vessel mend but is attached to the vessel. This sherd measures 37.22mm in length, 30.45mm in width, 13.01mm in thickness, and 20.81g in weight. It is of probable later Medieval to Post-Medieval date, c.15th-16th centuries AD if not slightly earlier.

An incomplete copper-alloy buckle plate. The object is formed from a long strip folded in two, the outer section much longer and wider than the reverse, which is corroded. Square notches have been cut in the centre and to either side of the fold creating a gap for now missing pin, although iron corrosion can be seen. There is a small circular hole through each corner and the centre containing in situ copper alloy rivets, with one missing.
Without the buckle frame it is difficult to date more precisely than c.AD 1250-1500.

A fragment of an iron probable late medieval to early post-medieval scabbard chape. Only the lower end of the object survives. This is a cast, hollow flat triangular chape with a jagged break around its upper edge and a flattened globular terminal projecting from its lower end. The surface of the metal is heavily corroded.
Scabbard chapes are more commonly made from sheet metal, but cast examples in copper alloy and iron are known. Compare PAS records: PUBLIC-03A532, LON-0444D0 and WMID-C808A3. It seems likely to be of late medieval to early post-medieval date.

A complete copper-alloy Medieval enamelled harness pendant. It is quatrefoil in shape, the outer edge conprising four rounded lobes, each with a small projection between. The outer face of each lobe is decorated with three raised petals as in the upper section of a fleur-de-lis. In the centre of the outer face there is a square linear border surrounding a raised lion en passant. The remains of red and black enamel can be seen in places alongside small traces of gilding. A suspension loop projects from the centre of the upper edge.

An incomplete copper-alloy lamp hanger of Medieval date. It has been cast in one and measures 43.00mm in height and 24.45mm in width. It consists of a central vertical shaft which terminates in a suspension loop. The base of this shaft flares outwards and is in the centre of three arms, which project at right angles from the central shaft. Each arm is incomplete due to old breaks, the missing terminals probably originally had circular perforations through them from which chains would have hung, to hold the lamp below.
