The rim is rounded and straight, while the fabric both on the interior and exterior of the sherd is a consistent grey colour. The original diameter of the rim was probably around 24cm. It measures 28.53mm long, 42.56mm wide, and 7.52mm thick at its midpoint. It weighs 13.56g.

It has an orangey outer surface with a blackish interior, The rim is flat-topped, and probably had an original diameter of c. 24cm. Frequent inclusions of sand or quartz temper are visible. It measures 25.40mm long, 48.79mm wide, 6.67mm thick at the midpoint of the surviving shoulders and 14.51mm thick at the rim. It weighs 17g.

An incomplete fragment of a wheel-thrown Roman samian ware bowl or cup, dating c. 43-250 AD. The sherd consists around one third of the original base, surviving co-incident with part of the projecting footring below, though the shoulders and rim have broken away at the point where they curve out from the base itself. The fabric is pinkish orange, covered with a bright reddish-brown slip. In form, this piece is identical to BH-704A24. It survives to a heigh of c. 18.08mm, 32.28mm wide, and 74.57mm long. It weighs 23.64g.

The remains of a relatively thick and crazed/crackled speckled green glaze are visible on both exterior and interior of the sherd, that on the exterior being relatively unevenly applied with some areas having only small speckles of glaze rather than complete coverage.
