A complete copper-alloy post-medieval knife handle terminal. The terminal is shaped like an horse's hoof and has iron corrosion. It curves downwards slightly at an angle and has a flat outer end. The inner surface is covered with iron corrosion where it would have joined the iron tang of a knife originally. A number of similar example have now been recorded with the PAS: e.g. SF-6B23D0, NLM-61F60B, SUR-1DCA47, IOW-E044C2, SOM-A63564 and LVPL-2ABAE1. Now heavily corroded, its front face is possibly anthropomorphic, decorated with a human head. Projecting from either edge are pointed oval knops. At the apex is a suspension loop. A complete coper alloy toy cannon of post mediaeval date (1600-1700). Cast in one piece with a tapering cascabel and spherical button. The base, vent and muzzle rings are in relief. There is a drilled touch hole 2mm in diameter. A second broad reinforcing ring encircles the barrel where two circular trunnions project from the barrel. The chase then tapers towards the muzzle which flares out from the reinforcing ring. A cast copper alloy buckle tongue/ chape, dating between AD 1660-1720. The tongue/ chape is sub-triangular in shape and mostly flat in section. The artefact forks/ divides into two cylindrical sectioned casings to the left and right where the pin connects the tongue/ chape to the main frame of the buckle. At the opposing end, there is a circular rivet hole. The artefact has a green patina. An incomplete Medieval to Post Medieval copper-alloy knife dating to circa AD 1500-1600. The extant element consists of the handle. It is rectangular in plan and lozengiform in cross section. Each face is is now heavily worn and divided into two panels by a longitudinal median incised groove. One face is inscribed +S/GE and the other appears to read DK/[]. The top and lower edges of the handle contain a rectangular socket. Similar examples are depicted in Read 2016: pg 39.
