A complete early Anglo-Saxon mount, made from copper alloy and partly gilded. It is roughly square, measuring 16.71mm by 18.29mm in size and 1.83mm in thickness. The front is divided into two panels, a U-shaped chip-carved and gilded panel and above this a T-shaped undecorated panel. The gilded panel depicts two beasts with simple double-strand bodies and no legs, which interlace in three simple twists.
