A gold, uninscribed, Iron Age quarter stater, probably of Gallo-Belgic D / ‘Boat Tree’ type, dating to the period c.80-60 BC. Obverse: Boat with two occupants? Reverse: Tree-like motif above forked line, Y-shaped motif below. cf. Sills 2017: p. 15, nos. 24-26; ABC p. 29, no. 40. This is probably a Gallo-Belgic rather than insular British type.
Dimensions: 12.5mm diamter and 1.0mm thick, it weighs 1.43g
