A complete ceramic post-medieval pipe-clay figurine. The figurine takes the form of a seated woman, her head resting on her left hand with her right arm crossed in front of her. She is clothed in long robes with a shawl covering her head. The base has a deep conical hole projecting into the centre of the object with long cracks to either side perhaps as a result of the manufacturing process whereby the clay was pressed into separate moulds and then two halves were joined together. The flat base is of the extant piece is decorated with three longitudinal grooves at one edge which are met by eight oblique grooves. A complete ceramic bead of an uncertain date ranging from the Roman to Post Medieval periods. it is an irregular discoidal shape with a sloping profile. The central aperture is small <4mm in diameter. The exterior edge is decorated with two sets of four longitudinal incised grooves. There is seemingly a thick horizontal band running across approximately half of the exterior intersecting with the longitudinal grooves.  Beads are difficult to date without context. Consequently, a broad Roman to Post Medieval date is suggested here, Diameter: 18.5mm; Height: 14.7mm; Weight: 3.82g.

A sherd from the body of a Roman colour-coated ware vessel. Probably Oxfordshire red/brown-slipped ware. Hard, fine-textured fabric with poorly sorted occasion reddish iron ore and fine quartz sand. It appears to have a slightly laminar fracture, although the edges are heavily abraded. It has an orange core, slightly darker inner surface and traces of dark brown slip on the outer face. A sherd from the body of a large late Iron Age to early Roman ceramic earthenware vessel. A thick-walled vessel with a very hard, coarse fabric tempered with spare poorly sorted white quartz (<2mm) and frequent red clay-like pellets (grog?). Dark brown core and surfaces with smooth outer face decorated with a series of parallel grooves. A fragment from a Roman box flue tile dating to AD 43-410. The fragment has evidence of the typical combed decoration on one face. The outer face is undecorated. The fabric is orange on the outer surfaces and has a grey colour core.  There are infrequent quartz inclusions throughout the fabric.  Box flue tiles were used to create flues in the walls of building, through which hot air generated by the hypocaust system would pass.
