An incomplete cast copper alloy barb-spring barrel padlock of Medieval date (c. AD 1100 - c. AD 1400). The barrel case is octagonal in section and rectangular in form. The barrel case is hollow and slightly damaged at the narrow end revealing a thin bar inside. At the opposite end of the barrel case is the end plate which has a riveted sub-circular hole, presumably for attachment possibly of a chain. Complete cast copper-alloy late Roman buckle of zoomorphic design, dating to c. AD 300 - 410. The buckle is of Hawkes and Dunning Type IIB, with an integrally cast sub-circular buckle plate. The loop is formed of two dolphin heads curving upward to meet, open-jawed, at the diamond-shaped pin rest in the centre of the outer loop edge. Silver cast spoon of Roman date. The object comprises a thin tapering shaft, which is now bent and distorted, and a 'mandolin' (see Crummy 1981) shaped bowl.
