Early Roman cast copper alloy bow brooch fragment. Only the foot and catchplate survive. The catchplate is triangular. The foot has a trilobate cross section and terminates in a short cylindrical knop with a flat base and a groove around its circumference. The surviving section of the brooch is 14.45mm long, 10.19mm wide, 1.12mm thick across the catchplate, 2.72mm thick across the foot and the terminal knop has a diameter of 5.54mm and is 4.12mm long. It weighs 1.2 grams. It has an even, dark green patina.

Roman copper alloy colchester derivative brooch fragment. The rectangular wings have a slighly curved cross section to partially cover a 12 turned spring. The pin itself is missing. Only the upper section of the bow survives, which is plain and undecorated. It is 12.90mm long, 20.09mm wide 7.51mm thick and weighs 3.14 grams.

Damaged and incomplete Roman cast copper alloy Langton Down brooch. The wings are almost completely missing; a vertical groove is visible on either side with the join to the bow. The wings are curved in profile to encase the (missing) sprung pin. The bow is wide and flat with three ribs along its length. There is a worn break across the bow, with the foot and catchplate missing. It is 24.46mm long, 13.17mm wide across the wings, 7.46mm wide across the bow tapering to 5.12mm wide at the worn break. It weighs 2.0 grams.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman brooch. A hinged head enamelled brooch dating to the 2nd century AD. The centrepiece is a flat lozenge with panels of enamelling (now missing). It would have two terminals but one has broken off. The remaining terminal is long and is separated from the centrepiece by a sub-rounded collar. Possibly a Roman pin or stud. The fragment is a cast copper alloy biconical terminal with a worn break on one side, presumably where a shank would have extended. A significant amount of the original surface is missing, but where it survives is a dark green colour. It is 10.16mm in diameter, 8.59mm thick and weighs 2.45 grams.
