A small gold sphere decorated with a single band of gold wire around the circumference. This has a line of arches of gold wire on both sides extending approximately halfway up each hemisphere. Above these arches are multiple small pellets covering the top and bottom of the sphere. At the top is a small loop formed from gold wire with a piece of bent gold wire through it, possibly the start of a chain or larger loop to enable the object to be attached to a chain. Bears some resemblance to Tudor dress pins but the fitting/ attachment loop suggests it might be a decorative dress accessory.

It is similar to RIC 10 no. 7 but has the wrong obverse type with blundered lettering in both obverse and reverse legends. Roger Bland and Sam Moorhead (PAS/British Museum) have examined the coin and suggest that this is probably a contemporary copy of an official solidus of Arcadius.

Description: A Roman gold ear-ring of rectangular form, seemingly complete, though distortion obscures most of the front face. The edges are lightly scalloped and the simple openwork decoration comprises a design based on small crescentic piercings. It is not possible to determine the form of the centre of the plate. The long tapered hook, also distorted, is fastened to the centre of a cruciform brace which is soldered to the back of the main plate. Small hammered circular piece, apparently a Merovingian continental tremissis, of 7mm diameter and 2.8mm thickness, plain on one face but struck on the other with the motif of a double cross, formed of a single vertical strokes with two crossing bars or, if viewed at 90 degrees, like an H with a single horizontal stroke and two vertical bars. Both tips of each bar are swollen into an irregular enlargement flat above but expanded at either side, somewhat like a heart-shape. Gold disc pendant decorated with plain and beaded wire. The pendant is crumpled, with a bad tear to right of the loop and an empty central setting. Early-medieval continental enamelled gold mount from Suffolk (2004 T141) On a gold base is soldered a round box which holds in its field the enamelled decoration. The seam is covered by a filigree wire. The design is achieved by means of large cloisons (cells) made up of continuous ribbons of thin gold sheet, which hold the enamel. A finger ring examined under the Treasure Act by the British Museum. Surface metal analysis conducted at the British Museum indicated an approximate gold content for the ring of 50% and silver content of approximately 47%; it weighs 4.78 grams. A medieval gold finger-ring, set with a green stone. The ring is distorted and measures 23mm across its greatest diameter. The hoop widens towards the bezel into which the stone is set and held with four claws. The stone has not been identified and may be glass paste. The shoulders are engraved with the stems of a flower against a cross-hatched ground possibly keyed to take enamel. A break at the shoulder reveals a cavity which suggests, along with the weight of the ring, that it is hollow.

A complete gold necklace pendant in good condition. This pendant is lozenge shaped and measures 22mm in length and 16mm in width. It consists of a flat panel of gold with another strip of gold around its edge. The top corner of the pendant has a circular suspension loop, on the same plane as the pendant itself. A complete, but slightly bent and damaged gold finger-ring. The hoop is bent and now oval in shape measuring 23mm by 18mm in size. The hoop is plain and flares around an oval indentation which appears to have been a setting for something. This ring may be Roman in date. A gold finger-ring with an internal diameter of 20mm. It is triangular in cross-section and inscribed with two lines of black-letter script. Incomplete gold finger-ring, set with a colourless stone. The hoop is narrow and broken into two parts, with about a quarter missing. It is D-shaped in cross-section, flaring from a minimum of 1.2 mm wide and 1.4 mm thick to a maximum of 1.8 mm wide and 2 mm thick at the junction with the bezel.
