The object is an elongated, tubular shape, C-shaped in cross-section with an open concave reverse and zoomorphic moulding on the outer face and sides. A complete Early Medieval copper alloy strap end dating from AD 750 - 950. It is a Trewhiddle style strap end of Thomas sub-type A1ai. The strap end has a zoomorphic closed end in the form of an animal snout. There are crescentic eyes and large looped ears. The main body of the strap end has a billeted outer border, then inside that a plain border. The rectangular panel contains a Trewhiddle style beast. It is probably a single right facing animal with its head towards the split end. The reverse is undecorated. Dimensions: length 31.8mm, Width 12.4mm, Thickness 4.4mm, Weight 2.46g.

The copper alloy wrap around pin survives attached to the bar and tapers to a point. The object has no decoration and has a green patina. Measurements: Length 14.2mm, Width 12.9mm, Thickness 3.2mm, Weight 1.46g. This fits into Meols type 2, simple ovals with offset bars, a similar example can be found in Whitehead’s Buckles (2003, 19) no.59

A fragment of a probable Early Medieval cruciform/small long brooch dating to circa AD 450-550. The extant piece consists of the lower bow and foot. The bow is rectangular in plan and curved in profile. It is has convex underside and concave front face. At the junction of the bow and foot is a transverse incised groove. The foot is flat and broadly triangular in shape. It is now heavily worn but appears undecorated. Emerging from the reverse of the foot is a broken, flat likely D-shaped catchplate.

A complete Earl Medieval to Medieval lead-alloy stylus dating dating to circa AD 1000-1100. Now bent out of shape to the point that it has folded back on itself, the piece is circular-sectioned. The terminal has a flat end whilst the nib end is pointed. it shares similarities with Biddle's class I writing lead, with more similarities to example 2290, dating to 10th century (Biddle, 1990: p.742-743, fig 211, 2290.)

It is T shaped in plan and only the upper portion of the plano-convex bow survives. The double lug is positioned in the centre of the reverse of the wings and is compromised of an upper and lower aperture, now corroded.
