An incomplete copper-alloy decorative mount, of Medieval date. It is broadly cruciform in shape with the remains of an iron rivet or lug in the centre of the mount. Two bars extend out, with the remains of a third incomplete arm also present, and the two remaining arms have square-shaped terminals, one terminal is bend back on itself.  At the top of the cruciform is a decorative fleur de lis head. A complete copper-alloy medieval sexfoil mount. It is formed from a disc of sheet metal stamped to create a convex outer face, concave reverse and ridges radiating outwards from the centre creating six lobes. There are two small circular holes at equal distance from ones another at the rim, both containing in situ copper-alloy rivets. The outer edge has been irregularly trimmed to the shape of the lobes. The mount has a larger square front and a smaller diamond shaped reverse. The hanging plate is formed by a single sheet folded over on itself to form a handing loop. The extant piece consists of a rectangular lower edge from which project two bifurcating crescentic elements, only one of which now survives. The edges are bevelled. At the top in the centre is a Tudor rose  set aboove two flanking drinking type horns. Below are two cipher scrolls. On the reverse are two circular sectioned attachment spikes at opposing ends which terminate in old breaks . An identical example is recorded under DOR-A9E445 where it is noted it is possibly associated with the Lancaster militia.

An incomplete copper-alloy post-medieval mount. The object is an elaborate sexfoil shape. The reverse is concave in the centre and the outer face convex in the centre, while the outer edge is flattened. The outer face is divided into six lobes by lines radiating outwards from the centre. Each lobe has a pointed outer end that projects slightly. To the reverse there are the remains of two integral, sharp, outwards pointing lugs at opposite sides. These lugs, together with the reddish patina seen in places, indicate a post-medieval date.

Broadly discoidal and circular-sectioned, it is comprised of three identical D-shaped openwork with kidney-shaped voids, in the trompetenmuster style. Projecting from the angles are moulded, knops. Projecting from one face is a central, circular boss which is now heavily abraded. The reverse is plain.  Appels and Laycock (2007) illustrate mounts with similar trumpet motifs on pages 77-78.Similar examples are recorded on the database including BH-2DE112, SWYOR-175668 and WMID-273AFD.

A complete Roman copper-alloy mount dating to circa AD 43-410. Rectangular in plan and broadly square-shaped in section, the mount is janiform, with two moulded human heads placed back to back. The heads are situated on a moulded rectangular collar with a flat base. Emerging from the base is an integrally cast circular sectioned rivet which would have slotted into a socket. The piece is perhaps a furniture fitting.  Length 21.6mm, width 12.6mm, thickness 9.4mm. Weight 20.03g.

An Early Medieval mount dating to circa AD 500-600. It is broadly in the form of an S-shape or stylised figure of eight. It has rounded terminals and straight edges. On the reverse are two circular sectioned lugs. The body is openwork with two circular apertures situated at either end with two broadly triangular apertures situated at either edge of the body. Two incised grooves are positioned either side of the triangular apertueres. Traces of gilding survive on the reverse. A Roman copper-alloy mount/strap fitting dating to circa AD 43-70. The fitting is of an openwork design. Its upper portion plano-convex in section. The lower portion has a convex front face. At the top is a broadly trapezoidal knop with a notch in the front face, creating a curved L-shape. A complete probable copper-alloy Medieval to Post Medieval mount dating to circa AD 1400-1600. It is comprised of a thin sheet of metal. At one end is a central rounded knop emerging from two side loops with circular perforations. From here, a rectangular plate emerges terminating in three triangular forks. On the reverse are two conical attachment lugs. Length: 16.6mm; Width: 14.3mm; Thickness: 1.1mm; Weight: 0.90g.
