A group of Medieval potsherds discovered with a few Roman sherds ( SF-D95841), scattered in field. The Medieval sherds include 15 coarse grey ware rims, mostly from a different cooking pots or jugs, along with three base sherds and six strap handle fragments. One of the rims has an applied strip around the neck. The handles are from smaller jugs and larger pitchers, two having stab decoration, one with triangular-shaped stabbing and the other with circular holes. Pitchers, jugs, jars and bowl forms are all represented, dating from the 12th to the 15th centuries AD.

A sherd of Early Medieval pottery. The fabric is brownish-black and lightly burnished on both surfaces. It is tempered with both fine and larger grits and a little mica. The bodysherd is decorated with three horizontal grooves. It most likely comes from an Anglo-Saxon vessel such as a decorated bi-conical urn.
