A complete ceramic post-medieval pipe-clay figurine. The figurine takes the form of a seated woman, her head resting on her left hand with her right arm crossed in front of her. She is clothed in long robes with a shawl covering her head. A complete ceramic bead of an uncertain date ranging from the Roman to Post Medieval periods. it is an irregular discoidal shape with a sloping profile. The central aperture is small <4mm in diameter. The exterior edge is decorated with two sets of four longitudinal incised grooves. There is seemingly a thick horizontal band running across approximately half of the exterior intersecting with the longitudinal grooves.  Beads are difficult to date without context. Pedestal basal sherd of medieval to post-medieval Late Medieval and Transitional pottery (Jennings 1981, 61-2). Fine, micaceous fabric, reduced with oxidised underside. Lead glazed on inner and outer surfaces. All of the outer edge of the sherd is missing but the interior, diameter 20mm, is intact and covered by a horizontal deposit of lead. Weight 35g. Mid 15th - 16th century.

A rim sherd from a Roman greyware vessel. The rim of the vessel would have been c.10 cm in diameter originally. Probably a large jar and the sherd comes from just above where the body of the vessel would have flared outwards. The core is light grey, while both surfaces are dark grey with a lustrous sheen. The fabric is hard and coarse and is tempered with moderate amounts of fine, rounded quartz sand (<0.5mm) Probably later Roman, 3rd to 4th century AD date. A sherd from the handle of a meddieval coarseware vessel. The handle is sub-rectangular in cross-section with a raised longitudinal ridge along either side of its outer face. Between these ridges a crude cross has been scratched into the surface prior to firing and there are lines of dots along each edge. The handle is sizeable and probably came from a large jug. The fabric is hard and coarse and is tempered with poorly sorted rounded quartz (<2mm), most of which is quite fine and occasional larger fragments of white chalky material (<2mm). A Roman fragment of a ceramic terra sigillata (Samian ware) vessel dating to circa AD 43-300. It is a decorated body sherd of form Dragendorff 37 or 30. It is slightly curved in profile with a pink fabric. The fragment has a stamped decoration on the external face depicts a 5 leaf petal on the right handside.
