An incomplete wheel-thrown ceramic rim sherd dating to the Medieval period, c. 1200-1400. It demonstrates an even mid greyish colour, with a flat-topped rim and with frequent inclusions of sand temper visible. This is probably a product of the Medieval Ipswich industries which continued to be manufactured right up till the 14th century. Preserved in fresh condition, it survives to a length of 19.64mm, 24.40mm wide, and 8.31mm thick at its midpoint. It weighs 4.85g.

It consists the lower part of the handle just prior to where it joins with the body of the jug itself, though the very bottom of the handle itself is broken away in old damage, in addition to a portion of the side. The rim is rounded and straight, while the fabric both on the interior and exterior of the sherd is a consistent grey colour. The original diameter of the rim was probably around 24cm. It measures 28.53mm long, 42.56mm wide, and 7.52mm thick at its midpoint. It weighs 13.56g.

The sherd consists around one third of the original base, surviving co-incident with part of the projecting footring below, though the shoulders and rim have broken away at the point where they curve out from the base itself. The fabric is pinkish orange, covered with a bright reddish-brown slip. In form, this piece is identical to BH-704A24. It survives to a heigh of c. 18.08mm, 32.28mm wide, and 74.57mm long. It weighs 23.64g.
