An incomplete Roman copper-alloy finger ring dating to circa aD 200-300. It has a faceted octagonal bezel with steep flat walls. In the centre is a bluestone gem setting with a central motif of probable corn ears. Only one of the shoulders survive. The extant shoulder consists of a narrowed, constricted section before it flares outwards. From here, the flared segment tapers inwards before terminating in an old break. The flared section is decorated with flanking incised grooves.

Silver strip, probably a finger-ring, now in two pieces (broken during discovery). It is bent out of shape but appears to originally have been circular, with half of the circle surviving (c. 20mm in original diameter). The strip has a consistent width of 4.5mm to 5mm (perhaps depending on how worn the edges are) and is a low D-shape in cross-section, 1.0mm thick. An incomplete gold finger ring (Henig II/ Guiraud type 2A) of Roman date (c. 43-200).
Description: The ring is broken at the narrowest part of the hoop, opposite the bezel, and is misshapen. The hoop is pointed oval in cross section, thickening and widening gradually towards the shoulders which merge to create the bezel. The bezel has an oval recess for a now missing setting. The surface of the ring is textured by rippling in the gold as well as scuffing and scratching.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy finger ring dating to circa AD 100-300. The extant elements of the ring consist of the bezel with intaglio setting, shoulders and a small portion of the hoop, now survived by short stubs. The bezel is flat with damage on one side. An oval setting of probable nicolo (onyx) projects from the bezel with a blue coloured stone top. On its front face is a crudely engraved figure walking left. The shoulders taper inwards and are plain. They are plano-convex in section and plain on the underside.

Description:
A gold finger-ring of late Roman date, c. AD 200-400, which has been squashed almost flat. The bezel has an oval collet for the oval intaglio (now missing). The setting has a border around it formed of a narrow projecting flange decorated with a ‘rope’ design. The hoop is a narrow strip that widens into sub-triangular shoulders with scalloped edges and two pairs of oblique grooves.

Three fragments of an engraved silver finger ring. The band is flat and has a plain interior. The exterior is engraved with two different designs; two sets of circles surrounded by dots flank a grid-style hatched design. The smaller fragments show the same hatched design, making an overall design of matching opposite sides when reconstructed. Description: Gold late medieval to early post-medieval finger-ring. It has a rectangular bezel with a raised collet containing a clear grey glass or gem setting, possibly rock crystal. The gem is table-cut and has lost three large chips along one side. The walls of the collet are bent around the gem to hold it in place.
