An incomplete copper alloy brooch of Roman date (AD 70-150). The object is a Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type, of Mackreth 2011, Chapter 3, Part 3. Group 4.c. The object is composed of semi-cylindrical wings with outer incised grooves on each and a retained rear-hook at the apex of the head. The spring and axis bar are retained within the wings, and the wire through the hook is also retained, the pin is missing. An incomplete copper-alloy late Iron Age to Roman Aesica brooch. The head is semi-cylindrical in shape with a rounded outer face and open, concave reverse. The outer face of each wing is decorated with a single diagonal groove. In the centre of the upper edge of the reverse a rear-facing hook projects. Description: A complete gold sheet metal biconical bead with gold wire filigree decoration of early medieval (early Anglo-Saxon) date. A group of thirteen Roman pewter vessels was initially exposed during a detecting rally on 3rd September 2022, but as they were clearly a hoard group and in poor condition excavation was postponed until 20th September when conservators were available to help lift the whole group. A small pit was identified as the feature within which the vessels had been buried. Laboratory excavation and conservation was carried out by Norfolk Museum Services. Silver strip, probably a finger-ring, now in two pieces (broken during discovery). It is bent out of shape but appears to originally have been circular, with half of the circle surviving (c. 20mm in original diameter). The strip has a consistent width of 4.5mm to 5mm (perhaps depending on how worn the edges are) and is a low D-shape in cross-section, 1.0mm thick. A fragment of a Roman copper alloy cable twisted bracelet dating to c.AD 300-450. The fragment is oval in section consists of three pieces of copper alloy wire tightly twisted together. A one end, the band is broken and the three wires are broken at different points which helps to demonstrate how they are twisted together.
