Reverse: Bird on cross within serpent circle, annulets to each side of the cross Ref: Abramson 2006: pg 66, B215. The coin is recorded on EMC under 2022.0417.

An Early Medieval silver sceat, Continental Secondary Series E, Variety G1, dating to AD circa 695-715 (N 45). Obverse: quilled crescent with two pellet eyes enclosed within a triangular head. Vertical rib joins head and end of coil to give crescent shaped external body. Extending from this is a right angled leg with pellet joint. Reverse: Beaded standard with central ring and dot motif. Ref: North 1980: 37; Abramson 2006: pg 88, E215. The coin is recorded on EMC under 2022.0415.

Crumpled gold foil pommel cap ornamented with C scrolls executed in beaded filigree wire.  The pommel cap is badly damaged with both ends crushed and distorted and the filigree ornament on one face missing.   The surviving filigree is well made filling the surviving panel with a balanced pattern of graded pairs of loops with spiralled ends enclosing a central motif of an inverted ‘C’ scroll lying back to back with a kidney shaped element executed with two beaded filigree wires.   The panel is enclosed by a border of filigree wire, of a heavier weigh…

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman trumpet brooch. It has a plain, slightly flattened trumpet head. To the rear of this there is a single lug pin fitting. At the top rear of the head is a short projection, which probably supported a loose wire head0loop originally. The bow narrows rapidly and is strongly curved in profile with an acanthus moulding in the centre extending all the way around and flanked on either side by two transverse, parallel grooves. Obverse: radiate bust of crude style, right , Runic AEPA before, broken A, annulet and pellet behind, pyramidical neck rests on curved exergual lines either side of beaded line, two pellets either side of annulet below. Reverse: beaded standard containing TOTII legend, crosses to sides, Ts in angles. As Abramson's series C, C2ii (2006, p. 94, C110); as Metcalf series C2 (1993, p. 108).
