A copper-alloy late Iron Age to early Roman bow brooch of Langton Down type. It is incomplete as the lower bow and foot and pin are missing. The spring cover is cylindrical and bow flat backed with three transverse grooves where it joins the spring cover and five longitudinal grooves running down its length. This brooch measures 20.11mm in surviving length and 14.90mm in width.

Colchester derivative Polden Hill brooch (folded wings, Eastern Group) type, incomplete and missing lower bow, foot, catchplate, spring and pin. Measuring 18.31mm in survving length and 27.84mm in width. The semi-cylindrical wings are extended and folded round to form a short fully enclosed section at both ends, which held the axis bar, fragments of this bar remain. A fragment of an early medieval brooch, either a cruciform or small long in type. A fragment of the lower head and upper bow, measuring 27.60mm in surviving length and 16.74mm in surviving width. The bow has transverse grooves at its top and there are two longitudinal parallel grooves down its centre. It is D-shaped in section. There is an incomplete pin loop on the back face with the remains of a corroded iron adhering to it, presumably from the iron pin.

A fragment of a copper-alloy late Iron Age to early Roman Langton Down bow brooch, only the incomplete spring cover and fragment of the bow now survives. It measures 10.11mm in length and 15.41mm in width. The spring cover is cylindrical and the bow flat backed with traces of longitudinal reeding down its front.

An incomplete copper-alloy covered loop terret, measuring 32.10mm in surviving length. The oval loop, through which the rein would have passed is incomplete due to an old break. The loop has an oval cross-section and flares towards its base, it measures 29.40mm in external width and 9.98mm in external surviving height, the loop is 6.46mm in thickness. A short rectangular neck is decorated with one transverse moulding. Description: Silver Post medieval bodkin, which is incomplete, the upper part of the bodkin is missing due to an old break below the eye. The shaft is rectangular in shape and tapers to a point. Both faces of the bodkin below the break are decorated with an incised design consisting of a flower-like motif with transverse grooves above and below it and beneath this there is a zigzag pattern, which tapers to a point. CURATOR'S REPORT Early 7th century Anglo-Saxon sword pyramid. Description of find: Sword pyramid of early Anglo-Saxon date, made from silver with gold and garnet. Each side of the pyramid is decorated with a large garnet-inlaid field that is framed by a fine gold frame. The fields are roughly triangular, with a small indentation at the top.
