Copper alloy brooch, Colchester derivative Polden Hill variant (folded wing, Eastern Group), variant Polden Hill rear hook spring attachment. Upper half only, missing pin, some corrosion. The spring has 10 turns. The axis bar is held in 4mm wide enclose ends and a rear hook holds the chord. The wings have a concave moulding and rib with intervening grooves at the terminals. Traces of white metal / tinning survive on the surface of the wings. The bow has a slightly convex back and a rounded front. Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch fragment, lower bow and part of the flat panel from a early Anglo-Saxon brooch. There is a longitudinal decorative band running down the centre of the bow and below the bow transverse grooves delimit the start of the flat panel. Surviving length is 17.94mm and width is 17.38mm. All edges worn and damaged due to old breaks. Both faces are black probably due to exposure to fire, perhaps indicating that this brooch was originally from a cremation cemetary.

Copper alloy brooch, Colchester derivative type with Polden Hill variant spring attachment. Missing foot with catchplate, spring, pin. The spring was held by a rear hook and by enclosed wing ends, 6mm wide - these contain an iron-like corrosion, but it does not react to a magnet. The wings have a single angled groove and five grooves at the terminals, with slight notching of some of the intervening narrow ribs. The bow has a slightly convex back and rounded front, and a stront crest at the top in profile. It tapers to a smal;l foot knob. Two centre grooves define a centre rib which may have had horizontal hatching and there are traces of possible concave mouldings each side. The footknob is marked by a slight transverse groove. An incomplete copper-alloy umbonate disc brooch (compare Hattatt 1987, 179). The chain-loop is incomplete with only a lower fragment surviving; the pin is missing, apart from a fragment between the two pierced lugs. The edges of the brooch are worn and incomplete. On the front, a deep channel marks the edge of the main raised area which is decorated with two concentric circles of triangular indentations which retain traces of enamel within them. A copper-alloy late Iron Age to early Roman bow brooch of Langton Down type. It is incomplete as the lower bow and foot and pin are missing. The spring cover is cylindrical and bow flat backed with three transverse grooves where it joins the spring cover and five longitudinal grooves running down its length. This brooch measures 20.11mm in surviving length and 14.90mm in width.

Measuring 18.31mm in survving length and 27.84mm in width. The semi-cylindrical wings are extended and folded round to form a short fully enclosed section at both ends, which held the axis bar, fragments of this bar remain. A fragment of an early medieval brooch, either a cruciform or small long in type. A fragment of the lower head and upper bow, measuring 27.60mm in surviving length and 16.74mm in surviving width. The bow has transverse grooves at its top and there are two longitudinal parallel grooves down its centre. It is D-shaped in section. There is an incomplete pin loop on the back face with the remains of a corroded iron adhering to it, presumably from the iron pin.

An incomplete Roman hinged T-shaped brooch that is missing the lower half of the bow, catchplate and most of the pin due to old breaks.
