A complete Roman copper-alloy slide key, dating to circa AD 43-150. The key is largely complete, with only slight damage to one of the teeth. It consists of a sub-rectangular shank terminating in a circular hoop at its apex. The edges of the shank are bevelled. The shank is decorated with two parallel incised grooves at the top and the bottom. A single incised groove runs over the top of the loop. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Polden Hill brooch Mackreth 2011 CD PH 5.d1 Plate 50, dating to circa AD 50-150. The brooch consists of the wings, rearhook and upper bow. The spring and pin are missing. The wings are cylindrical with a central rectangular cavity which would have housed the spring mechanism. Towards the flanks, the wings have a narrow transverse rectangular slot in which the axis bar would have sat, with end caps formed on edge of the wings. An incomplete copper-alloy late Iron Age to Roman Aesica brooch. The head is semi-cylindrical in shape with a rounded outer face and open, concave reverse. The outer face of each wing is decorated with a single diagonal groove. In the centre of the upper edge of the reverse a rear-facing hook projects. Description: A complete gold sheet metal biconical bead with gold wire filigree decoration of early medieval (early Anglo-Saxon) date. The two sections of the bead are each made from sheet metal rolled into truncated cones leaving a hole in the centre of their apex. One of these holes is encircled by applied beaded wire, but this is missing on the other. A group of thirteen Roman pewter vessels was initially exposed during a detecting rally on 3rd September 2022, but as they were clearly a hoard group and in poor condition excavation was postponed until 20th September when conservators were available to help lift the whole group. A small pit was identified as the feature within which the vessels had been buried. Laboratory excavation and conservation was carried out by Norfolk Museum Services.
The hoard consists of a stack of plates and platters with smaller bowls, dishes and a cup placed on and alongside this. There is evidence for …

Description: An incomplete Early Medieval copper-alloy, iron, gold and garnet pyramid mount strap fitting from a scabbard or sword-belt. The object is a four-sided, truncated pyramid-shape with a flattened apex within which a sub-square garnet is set measuring roughly 4.1mm x 4.0mm.
Each side is decorated a raised linear border along the sides and lower edge creating a recessed field in the centre. An incomplete La Tene C Middle Iron Age copper-alloy brooch dating to circa 275-250 BC. The brooch is symmetrical. The head has two adjacent flat discoidal projections with central apertures, each of which is now broken. From here the rectangular-sectioned bow emerges.
