Harness pendant consisting of an octofoil arrangement of sub-circular lobes around a larger central circular field. One of the outer lobes extends into a pierced suspension loop and a copper-alloy rivet is driven through the centre of the central plate for added security during attachment. Each of the periphery lobes are decorated with areas of sunken gilding to give a leaf-like appearance. Rectangular form with protruding circular attachment lugs at each corner. The front surface is decorated with a crudely executed figure of a crucified human figure wearing a girdled tunic. Identified as a Scottish issue of Saint Andrew by comparison with a parallel from London (Spencer 1998, no. 265). The rectangular shape, with stitching rings, has more in common with Continental than with English badges.
