An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Polden Hill brooch Mackreth 2011 CD PH 5.d1 Plate 50, dating to circa AD 50-150. The brooch consists of the wings, rearhook and upper bow. The spring and pin are missing. The wings are cylindrical with a central rectangular cavity which would have housed the spring mechanism. Towards the flanks, the wings have a narrow transverse rectangular slot in which the axis bar would have sat, with end caps formed on edge of the wings. An incomplete copper-alloy late Iron Age to Roman Aesica brooch. The head is semi-cylindrical in shape with a rounded outer face and open, concave reverse. The outer face of each wing is decorated with a single diagonal groove. In the centre of the upper edge of the reverse a rear-facing hook projects. The bow is straight in profile and divided into three sections. The upper section is strongly humped and curves backwards to join the hook. A group of thirteen Roman pewter vessels was initially exposed during a detecting rally on 3rd September 2022, but as they were clearly a hoard group and in poor condition excavation was postponed until 20th September when conservators were available to help lift the whole group. A small pit was identified as the feature within which the vessels had been buried. Laboratory excavation and conservation was carried out by Norfolk Museum Services.

An incomplete probable Roman copper-alloy furniture fitting dating to circa AD 43-410. It is circular-sectioned comprised of a bar with two bulbous sections and narrowed hour-glass like section between them. It terminates in old, worn breaks at each end.

A Roman copper-alloy stud/finial/furniture fitting dating to circa AD 43-410. Circular-sectioned it is comprised of a domed apex with a thick collar set underneath. From here is a retracted hour glass shaped section which gives way to a thick double moulding. The base of the object was connected to an iron shank due to significant iron corrosion now staining the area. It is not clear how this connection was made.
Similar examples were recorded under SUR-1A9130; SUR-1A9130; NLM-C97D28; NLM-4D2AB7.

A complete copper-alloy Roman probable furniture fitting or handle. The object consists of a decorative knob comprising, from base to apex, a disc-shaped section encircled by a grooved line; a spool-shaped section with groove at either end; a rounded, inverted conical knob flaring into a disc at its upper end and a flattened knob at the apex. The lower face of the knob is flat and covered with iron corrosion - probably the remains of an attachment component. The copper-alloy component survives in good condition.
