This coin is a plated contemporary copy combining an obverse type from early in Severus Alexander's reign (c.AD 222-228) with a reverse type from later in his reign (c.AD 232-235). For the reverse type cf. BMC p.200, no. 862 passim; RIC IV.2, p. 79, no. 110 passim.
