A plated silver Roman denarius of Caracalla (AD 198-217), probably dating to the period c.AD 198-217 (Reece Period 10). [...]ERV(A)-(S)ANCT reverse type depicting Minerva standing left, resting right hand on shield, holding vertical sceptre in left. Prototype probably of the mint of Rome, but combining an obverse of Caracalla dating to c.AD 198 with a reverse type perhaps of Septimius Severus (RIC IV.1, p. 131, no. 319) or Geta (RIC IV.2, p. 320, no. 45) dating to c.AD 202-210.

RIC IV.1, p. 316, no. 13a) and also noted on hybrid contemporary copies of Septimius Severus (BMC, p. 227, no. 13; RIC IV.1, p. 131, no.320). Uncertain mint.
