The worn copper alloy head and shaft fragment of a Roman pin. The rest of the shaft is missing due to old breaks, which are now worn. The head is globular with a flattened top which may have originally been decorated with circular indentations but this is no longer clear due to wear. At the base of the head there is a collar and then three more circumferential ridges. The shaft is circular in section. The whole head and shaft fragment measures c16mm in length and the head measures c7mm in diameter.

An incomplete copper alloy pin with a globular head with a flat underside measuring 13mm in diameter and 8mm in thickness. Projecting off centre from the underside of the head is a flat rectangular incomplete shaft, 10mm in length and 2mm in width. Surrounding this shaft is a mass of corroded iron which appears to be adhering to the head rather than running through it. This pin could be Roman or later in date.
