A silver bodkin of Post-medieval date. It has a circular ear scoop at one end, then a collar decorated with vertical lines. Below this is a solid rectangular shaped shaft which is flat in section. There is a rectangular longitudinal hole down the length of the shaft which ends in a point. It measures 35.92mm in length, 5.67mm in width, 1.35mm in thickness and weighs 1.66g.

A complete post-medieval silver bodkin with two openings, one circular, the other longitudinal. At each end of the longitudinal opening there is an area of cross-hatched engraving, additional engraving of alternate diagonal lines and dots edge the opening. On the other side of the bodkin is the same engraving but with the addition of the initials MW next to the smaller opening and a star at the opposite end of the longitudinal opening. A fragment of a silver bodkin, only one terminal end survives. This terminal has a circular ear scoop at its tip and then a perforated tear-drop shaped hole, below this is the solid silver rectangular-shaped shaft and then a longitudinal rectangular opening, which is now incomplete.

Description: An incomplete post medieval sliver incomplete dress-pin of the bodkin type. The tip of this bodkin is now missing due to old breaks. The shaft is flat and rectangular in shape there is a small circular loop at the complete terminal end for suspension, below this the shaft is waisted with decorative grooves and there is then a rectangular perforation. The shaft is then waisted again with engraved decoration delimiting this area, before continuing at its previous width. Description: A silver post-medieval bodkin fragment. Only the terminal end of the eye survives with the start of the rectangular opening through this. The bodkin is decorated on both faces; one face has opposing possible leaf motifs and the other has the letters IS (in a heart?) above another possible leaf motif. Dimensions: 12.51mm in surviving length, 4.50mm in width, 2.18mm in thickness and 0.85g in weight. A probable incomplete Post-Medieval silver head-dress pin or bodkin. The terminal end of the bodkin survives, the remainder now missing due to old breaks. The shaft is rectangular in shape and section with faceted edges. It tapers at one end to a blunt point that is finished with a small knop. The bottom end of the bodkin has broken away at the point where a central longitudinal perforation or slot begins. an incomplete Post-Medieval silver bodkin. It is rectangular, with a knop at one terminal below which is an eyelet 2.6mm in diameter. The shaft is plain with slight shoulders and two transverse incised lines just above the central longitudinal opening. The rest of the shaft is missing due to old breaks. The two 'arms' either side of the opening have traces of hatched decoration on both sides and are 1.5mm in width. Bodkins of this type are likely to date to the seventeenth century. Description: Silver Post medieval bodkin, which is incomplete, the upper part of the bodkin is missing due to an old break below the eye. The shaft is rectangular in shape and tapers to a point.
