An incomplete copper-alloy late Iron Age to Roman brooch of the Rosette Type. The head of the brooch is sub-rectangular in plan and the spring-case is open at the back; the spring is missing. The bow has a semi-circular profile and a D-shape cross section; it joins the spring case at its upper end and the sub-circular disc plate at its lower end. The disc plate runs up to touch the case housing the spring; the front of the disc has a decoration with five concentric grooves. A worn and incomplete Late Iron Age to Roman copper-alloy devolved Rosette (LĂ©ontomorphe) brooch, c.25-65 AD. It is missing the lower half of the bow, foot, catchplate and pin due to old breaks. The spring case is cylindrical in form, missing its rear edge due to old breaks and with a slight curving groove where it meets the head of the bow. Copper alloy brooch, Langton Down type, squared bow variant similar to King Harry Lane Ee Stead and Rigby 1989,92, E24). Missing half spring, pin, damaged spring cover, missing catchplate; Fairly corroded. The spring cover has a single transverse incised line above the bow junction. The bow is a flat strip, meeting the bow with a squared junction. The bow has a narrow longitudinal rib close to each edge; the central are is very slightly convex. Copper alloy brooch, Langton Down type. Missing spring, pin, most of catchplate; very corroded and abraded; bow bent. The spring cover has no surviving decoration. The flat bow has a straight horizontal junction with the spring cover and now tapers to a damaged point. There are traces of two(?) longitudinal lines on the bow, but most decoration is probably lost. The catchplate stub suggests a single triangular hole. Surviving length 43mm, width 15mm. Copper alloy fragments from two Langton Down type brooches. One consists of the upper half, missing the pin and the other is a segment of bow with a bent catchplate stub. The first has the standard spring cover outline decoration of incised lines, a rounded bow head and reeded bow with 10 grooves. The second has a reeded bow with 2 broad grooves. The surving lengths 25mm, 29mm; width 29mm. The fragments are from very similar brooches, but the widths of the reeded bands on the bow are slightly different.

A copper-alloy late Iron Age to early Roman bow brooch of Langton Down type. It is incomplete as the lower bow and foot and pin are missing. The spring cover is cylindrical and bow flat backed with three transverse grooves where it joins the spring cover and five longitudinal grooves running down its length. This brooch measures 20.11mm in surviving length and 14.90mm in width.
