The hook projects from the centre of the lower edge and curves backward abruptly to terminate in a point. Both faces of this hooked tag are undecorated. The hooked tag dates to the 9th to 11th century. This small hooked tag is similar in form to other previous examples, such as an example from Barton Bendish, Norfolk (2003 T233) (Treasure Annual Report 2003), although this and other parallels are decorated.
