Complete bronze socketed and looped axehead; blade edge chipped and blunted (in antiquity), blade edges have numerous ancient scratches, mostly diagonal, recent abrasion to part of moulding on one face, no internal moulding seams; deep dark brown patina, slightly darker on one face than other.

Complete plain copper alloy socketed axe with single loop. Main socket moulding plus further decorative moulding below. External moulding seam still relatively rough. Crescentric but not extensively re-sharpened, though bears slight ancient edge damage (some modern - caught by machine bucket). Two internal seams. Medium/dark green patina, with corrosive encrustations. Length 91mm, maximum width (at blade) 45mm.

Almost complete copper alloy triple ribbed socketed axe with single loop. Main socket moulding plus further decorative moulding below. Faces decorated with three short ribs. Irregular hole (casting flaw) on side behind loop, which is also poorly cast. Blade severely damaged (lump broken off and severely bent/blunted elsewhere) by heavy use? Medium/dark green patina with corrosive encrustations.

Complete plain bronze socketed axe with loop containing fragments of crushed copper alloy sheet, a copper alloy ring ? Or strip fragment and other copper alloy fragments (not extracted). Socket crushed inwards from either side. Main socket moulding only. Crescentric blade edge but extensively re-sharpened with ancient nick. Traces of original bronze patina on one face, otherwise medium/dark brown patina and light/medium green encrustations. 98mm long, 47mm maximum width including loop.
