Central section of winged copper-alloy axe with single loop. Patinated breaks. Only one of four wings complete and this is bent double and cracked. Major break to body but no obvious hammer marks or casting flaws. Deep brown/green patina with patches of pale green invasive corrosion. Surviving length 87 mm.

Fragment of heavy corrugated cast staple handle(?) attachment, probably from bucket or cauldron, found within a hoard. Decorated externally with five heavy ribs/corrugations, plain internally. At the base of these ribs is the remains of a transverse internal socket. The top, broken end of the ribs, is very thin in places. All breaks are ancient. Medium brown/green patina with paler green corrosive encrustations. Appears to be a high lead casting. cf cast staples from cauldron in Llyn Fawr hoard & from bucket(?) in Hatfield Broad Oak hoard (Davies 1929 - BAR67, Fig 8.1)

A sherd from the body of an early Bronze Age vessel, dating to the period c.2350-c.1200 BC. Hard, coarse fabric containing plentiful poorly sorted quartz pieces (<2mm). The outer surface and core are an oxidised orange-red colour while the inner surface is a lighter grey. The outer surface is decorated with bands of three and two parallel lines of small square indentations. Copper-alloy socket fragment, perhaps from spear or gouge or chisel, etc. (too small and damaged to be able to be certain). Basically a cylinder of copper alloy, just over 2 mm thick, with ancient breaks and some crushing out of shape. Probable original diameter 12-13 mm, and possibly originally slightly tapering. Some invasive corrosion. Dark green/brown patina. Length 21 mm.

A cast copper-alloy bronze 'moustache-like' object. This is a three-dimensional casting consisting of two, part decorated, drop-shaped parts on either side of a central constriction. The constricted area is masked by corrosive products including a large amount of rounded sand (from deposition horizon?). On other examples this constricted area has a central perforation so it is likely that this example also has a now obscured vertical perforation. A complete cast copper-alloy moustache-like object of probable Middle Bronze Age or Iron Age date, cast in one piece to form a distinctly three-dimensional shape. These objects are thought to date from the Middle Bronze Age to the Late Iron Age, after the discovery of one in the Salisbury Hoard (Stead, 1998, no.117) and various other finds reported to the PAS which are often associated with Middle Bronze Age material.The object is c. 26mm long, and c. 24mm wide.
