a lead object, most probably a weight. It is triangular 29.6mm in length, 16.8mm wide and between 8.5 and 9.5mm in thickness. Taking the width as the base of the object, the upper terminal, 9.3mm wide, has an oval-shaped hollow a few mm deep at the top . The base is not quite flat so the object does not stand. It weighs 34.6g.
Whilst it resembles the medieval 'standing' weights of the 12th to 13th centuries, its lack of flat base and upper terminal loop make this less likely.

a perforated lead weight. It is an oval shape and has a plano-convex section. The perforation is off-centre, with an angular rather than circular outline, and does not taper, as might be expected if it was used as a spindle whorl. The weight measures 28mm in length and 24.5mm in width. It is 6.85mm in thickness. It weighs 20g, and is likely to be of medieval date.
