A fragment of a copper-alloy Ansate brooch dating to 700-1000AD.  All that remains is a flattened circular terminal with incised circular border that contains a cross-shaped motif. It is encrusted with iron corrosion, and to the reverse has the remains of an iron pin. A similar, more complete, example can be seen on PAS, see SF-5260B8. This ansate brooch is of Middle Anglo-Saxon date with close parallels noted from Ipswich (West, 1998: nos. 98.3-4).  Length: 14.76mm Width:13.30mm Weight: 2.28g

An incomplete cast copper-alloy pin of 'Wrythen headed' form, dating to the Early Medieval period- c. 750-850. It demonstrates sub-spherical circular-sectioned head decorated with deep spiralling grooves that converge at its apex, from the base. The shank is missing, but would have had a circular cross-section. Diameter: 11.12mm Weight: 5.27g

An incomplete cast copper-alloy swivel strap fitting of Medieval date. Only one loop survives in its entirety, the second loop is incomplete due to old breaks, now worn. The complete loop is D-shaped in form and section, tapering at both sides in stylised zoomorphic terminals. An incomplete copper alloy finger ring, probably of Roman date. The hoop has a break in its centre and is squashed flat. The ring has a rectangular bezel with an oval recess in the centre of its outer face, which is filled with whitish, chalky material. The band is narrow and D-shaped in cross-section, becoming slightly wider where it joins the setting. There is also a raised ridge decorating the outer face at the point where the band joins the bezel. The surface of the metal is much corroded and the breaks well worn. A complete Roman faience 'melon' bead. It is cylindrical in shape with rounded edges to both faces. Parallel, deep, transverse grooves are positioned around the sides. A circular hole, c.11mm in diameter, runs through the middle, slightly off centre. It has a dark greenish-yellow patina.  See Guido (1978, 100, Types 21 and 22) and Crummy (1983, fig. 32.520-1). Worrell (2015) suggests a 1st to 2nd century date for most. A fragment of a middle Bronze Age side-looped spearhead. Only the socket survives. This is circular in cross-section, hollow and expands slightly towards its outer end. To either side of the inner end there is a small attachment loop, which would have allowed it to be secured to the shaft. The surface of the metal is heavily corroded with a silvery coating visible in places.  Spearheads with side loops date generally to the Acton Park and Taunton phases of the middle Bronze Age, c.1550-c.1250 BC (Davis 2017). An incomplete cast copper-alloy harness pendant likely to be part of the military parade uniform of the Roman cavalry, probably in the later 1st century AD, although no exact parallel could be found. The pendant is trefoil in shape, now missing one side lobe due to old breaks, the other two surviving lobes are rounded and taper to a terminal with a rounded projecting knob at their tips.
