A complete cast lead object probably a weight or gaming piece of uncertain date. It is rectangular in form and section. The front and back face are have inlaid decoration consisting of a pair of wavy longitudinal lines that contain what appears to be inlaid iron, some of which is now missing due to old breaks. This object measures 41.11mm in length, 34.97mm in width, 14.37mm in thickness, 210.54g in weight. There are similar examples recorded on the PAS database (SF-EB7D11), (LON-6A4983), (NMS-7F64B5), (NMS-05E756). These all suggest a variety of dates, however a later date …

It is decorated with eight pellets on the upper surface and measures 28.15mm in circumference and 8.35mm in thickness. It weighs 42.15g. The weight may have been used as a spindle whorl, or as a fishing weight.

A lead weight, plano-convex in shape, of unknown date. It is approximately circular with a diameter of 18.2mm and is 7.81mm in thickness, weighing 12.9g. It has a central perforation which is 5.15mm in diameter. A weight of this type could have been used as a spindle whorl, but is quite small. Its use as a fishing weight or similar seems more likely.

A copper alloy weight of probable Post-Medieval date. The weight is cylindrical in shape, tapering towards a flat base. A raised circumferential band or skirt is apparent at the top and a vertical seam is visible running down the entire length of the weight. It appears that the interior of the object may have been manufactured from a different material, perhaps lead based, and then surrounded by a copper alloy jacket.
