A cast lead spindle whorl of Roman or later date. It is circular in form, dome-shaped in section with a central circular aperture. The back face is flat but has a slight lip or rim around the edge resultant from the method of manufacture. It measures 23.45mm in diameter, 9.27mm in thickness, and weighs 27.03g. This is a lead spindle whorl that may be of any date from the Roman period onwards although perhaps most likely from the Medieval or Post-Medieval periods.

A cast lead weight, probably a spindle whorl, of Roman or later date. It is conical in form with flat back face and slightly flattened top with central circular aperture. There are no traces of any decorative elements. It measures 17.19mm in diameter, 5.49mm in height/thickness, and weighs 7.21g. This is a small lead spindle whorl that may date to any point from the Roman period onwards, although a later date is perhaps more likely given its form and findspot.

A cast copper-alloy trade weight of Post-Medieval date. It is circular in form with inset upper surface that has incised double concentric circles, and a flat back face that has a central circular indentation. The inset surface has stamped marks comprising a crowned W at 12 O'clock for William III, a crowned T at 4 O'clock that probably represents the place of verification, and a conjoined AB at 8 O'clock that is probably a makers' mark. An additional mark of three characters is apparent at the centre of the weight, which may read 'SUD', although this remains uncertain. The weight mea…
