22 gold Iron Age coins, Addenda to the near Blythburgh hoard 2019 T143 & 2019 T428 (PAS SF-2C733B and SF-2C733B) of 19 gold Iron Age coins found earlier in 2019. The group consists of 11 staters and 11 quarter staters and, like the previous find, is a mixture of Eastern (North Thames) and East Anglian types.

A complete but distorted solid gold penannular ring dating to the Middle Bronze Age, c. 1550-1150 BC. It is broadly oval in plan view and plano-convex in section, being formed of three 'D' sectioned bands which have been soldered together, though in places these are starting to come away from one another. The terminals are squared off, but now overlap due to damage.
Date: 1550-1150 BC
Dimensions: The external diameter of the penannular ring is 12.16mm, while the bands have a maximum width of 8.74mm and a maximum thickness of 1.33mm. It weighs 3.68g.

A complete copper alloy medieval or post-medieval casket key. The shank is oval in cross-section. The bit is simple in form with a small rectangular notch removed from the centre of each longer side. The bow is circular and flattened with a circular hole through the centre.
Margeson (1993, 160-2, figs.118-120) illustrates a number of small, simple casket keys from Norwich, found in contexts dating from the 12th to 17th century. Such a simple key, which is lacking diagnostic details cannot be dated more closely.

A complete Middle Bronze Age gold tripartite penannular ring dating to circa 1300-1150 BC. It is C-shaped in plan comprised of three circular-sectioned penannular rings soldered together. The terminals are of an inconsistent width, creating an oblique aperture.
Diameter: 14.2mm; Width: 6.4mm; Thickness: 1.3mm; Weight: 3.38g.
Discussion: The form is consistent with other examples processed through the Treasure Act including 2021 T762 (Gard 2021) and 2012 T165 (Smith 2012) each of which is dated to the Middle Bronze Age.

An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy composite strap end, dating to c.AD 1300 - 1400. The crescentic forked spacer survives. The crescentic bars are complete and rectangular in section, tapering towards the terminals. At the centre of the crescent is a projecting acorn shaped knop with a rectangular collar.

Egan and Pritchard (1991) illustrates similar forked spacers and strap ends on page 141 from London.

Copper-alloy finger-ring, with circular cross-section which tapers from 3.9 mm in diameter in the centre to sharply pointed overlapping ends. Both ends are now bent out of shape; there is no further decoration. The ring 23.2 mm in external diameter. This shape is characteristic of Viking or Late Anglo-Saxon finger-rings.
