A complete Early Medieval copper alloy strap end dating from AD 750 - 950. It is a Trewhiddle style strap end of Thomas sub-type A1ai. The strap end has a zoomorphic closed end in the form of an animal snout. There are crescentic eyes and large looped ears. The main body of the strap end has a billeted outer border, then inside that a plain border. The rectangular panel contains a Trewhiddle style beast. It is probably a single right facing animal with its head towards the split end. The reverse is undecorated. Dimensions: length 31.8mm, Width 12.4mm, Thickness 4.4mm, Weight 2.46g.

An incomplete copper-alloy probable Early Medieval strap end dating to circle AD 800-1000. Now very worn, it is broadly trapezoidal in plan tapering into a narrow rounded terminal. The front face is decorated toward the attachment with an incised probable zoomorphic design but is rendered to a more anthropomorphic likeness, perhaps due to the skill of execution of the craftsperson. An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy strap end dating to circa AD 1250-1350. A two piece strap end, it is discoidal in plan with straight edges. At one edge is is split attachment end. The two plates would have been joined together by two rivets in the centre and the outer edge. Only the rivet on the outer edge is now intact. Projecting from the opposite edge is a triangular knop.  It is similar in form to examples depicted in Egan and Pritchard 1991: pg 141 nos 648-651. An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy strap end dating to circa AD 1300-1450. It is a composite strap end with a forked spacer.  The object has a U-shaped frame, with a lozengiform, collared acorn teminal - plano-convex in section - projecting from the outet edge. From the other end are the incomplete remains of two opposing rectangular-sectioned arms which formed the forked spacer. Several similar composite strap-ends with circular spacers can be seen in Egan' and Pritchard 1991, 140-1 dated to the late 13th to early 15th centuries, being most common in the 14th century.

An incomplete copper-alloy with white metal coating late medieval composite crecentic strap end. It is rectangular in plan with an incomplete terminal which survives now as a discoidal knop. The piece terminates as at an old break before the attachment end.  Similar examples are recorded in Egan and Pritchard 1991: pg 142, pl 93, nos 675-684.

An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy strap end dating to circa AD 1150-1450. The extant piece consists of a single single rectangular strip of copper alloy. The terminal is missing. One face contains zig-zag 'rocker' work decoration on the form of two saltires. At the attachment end is a median separately cast copper alloy rivet which would have joined the plate to a second plate creating a composite strap end.

In the centre is a circular rivet hole 1.4mm in diameter is positioned in the centre, and would have joined the plate to a second plate.  Similar examples are recorded in Egan and Pritchard 1991: pg 142, pl 93, nos 653-663.

A fragment of a copper-alloy, silver and niello early medieval (late Anglo-Saxon) zoomorphic strap end. The fragment consists of the central section of the strap end with the rear half of the horizontally bifurcated upper attachment end. The outer part of the attachment end and the lower terminal end are both missing. The surviving central section is damaged and corroded, but areas of two parallel, longitudinal panels decorated with traces of niello and silver wire inlay survive.
