Small key which was probably used for winding a clock or similar. It has much in common with late medieval/early post-medieval casket keys, being rather crudely shaped out of oval-section copper alloy. The bow is circular and the stem tapers to a hexagonal terminal that was presumably originally a socket. It seems unlikely that such a key would have been needed in the late medieval world, so it is probably early post-medieval in date.
